My Ultimate dream for this project would be a ‘One Off’ special showing of the film for seriously ill children, in a cinema with special guests like Mr George Lucas, LucasFilm, The Yogscast, Mojang and other celebrities amongst the audience. I doubt this will ever happen, but like the title of this fan film ‘A New Hope’ ….one can dream, and it seems this dream is slowly starting to manifest.

I received a very special email from YouTube and Minecraft sensation’s ‘The Yogscast’ who now have over 6 and a half million subscribers! Thats just amazing…. They said they would be honoured to be amongst the first to view the finished fan film. Now I just need to figure how to get the rest on board and make some seriously ill children very happy.

I know what it’s like to be in a situation with seriously ill children, please read my story below….

There is a remarkable story behind this project….

On Xmas Eve 2003 my wife and I found out that our 3 year old daughter ‘Sarah’ had a rare brain tumor. They didn’t think she would survive past Boxing Day!

She is now 17 and loves playing Minecraft!

I’ve been a massive Star Wars fan all my life, ever since my Father (who sadly passed away in 2013) took me to see ‘A New Hope’ for my birthday as a teenager. It totally blew me away and made me the person I am today. My creativity stems from the fact that I was privileged to be in the right place, at the right time.

I have 3 children and all will be inspired by the films, the lore and the incredible Universe. Not only is this project fun to do for my daughter Sarah, but it takes her mind off her daily ‘on-going’ problems and health issues. Her tumor can never be removed and she has to live with all the side-effects this terrible disease brings…..

My one ambition would be to meet ‘George Lucas’ just to say “Thank you” for the inspirations in my life. I’m a big believer that we choose our own path in life, and Star Wars took me down the right one…..

One of Sarah’s ambition’s is to meet the ‘Yogscast’ and we we’re fortunate to meet Hannah, Simon and Lewis at the ‘EGX Rezzed’ in March! – They we’re a great bunch of people and a lot of laughs! – We are hoping to meet them again at a special ‘first-showing’ of the movie when it’s complete.
